Booksmith › For physiotherapists

Online booking for physios & sports therapists

Fewer DNAs. Fuller lists.
No reception required.

Patients book their initial assessment at 10pm when the pain is worst, follow-ups go in before they leave the room, and layered reminders do what a reception desk does at a fraction of the cost. Intake questions are answered at booking, so you treat from minute one.

A DNA isn't an empty slot.
It's a patient getting worse at home.

Missed appointments hurt clinics twice: the lost fee and the stalled recovery. Reminders the day before and the hour before, plus self-serve rescheduling that frees the slot in time for your waitlist, turn most DNAs back into treated patients.

A clinic day with Booksmith

The treatment list runs itself.

  1. 07:45

    Today's list, with histories attached

The morning agenda shows every patient with their intake answers: what hurts, how long, what they've tried. First appointment starts with treatment, not paperwork.

  2. 11:20

    A new patient books a 45-minute assessment

They found you on Google, picked the assessment slot type, answered your screening questions, paid a deposit. Follow-ups will book as 30-minute slots at the follow-up rate.

  3. 16:50

Course of six, booked in one sitting

Weekly follow-ups repeat at the same time for six weeks, each with its own reminders. Recovery plans survive contact with real diaries.

Built for the treatment room

What clinics actually use.

Different slots for different appointments

Initial assessments run longer and cost more than follow-ups. Each service has its own duration, price and questions, and the diary spaces them correctly.

Screening before they arrive

Ask what you need at booking: injury, duration, GP referral, red flags. Answers sit on the appointment and in your morning email.

Courses that hold their slot

Weekly or fortnightly follow-ups repeat automatically at the patient's time. Moving one session doesn't unravel the course.

Reminders that respect recovery

Day-before and hour-before nudges, SMS if you want it. Patients who'd have forgotten either turn up or free the slot for your waitlist.

Deposits for first appointments

A card deposit on initial assessments filters the never-shows without putting off genuine patients. Settled to your account through Stripe.

A diary per practitioner

Each physio has their own hours, services and column. Patients rebook the practitioner who knows their knee.

Questions we get

Asked by practitioners, answered straight.

Can assessments and follow-ups be different lengths and prices?

Yes, that's the default way to set it up: a 45-minute assessment at one price, 30-minute follow-ups at another, each bookable separately with its own availability.

Is patient information handled appropriately?

Your clinic runs its own isolated system with its own private database, never pooled with anyone else's. Intake answers live on the booking, exportable and deletable by you. For full clinical records, keep using your notes system; Booksmith handles the diary.

Can patients rebook a course of sessions?

Yes. Repeat bookings hold the same weekly slot for as many weeks as the plan needs, and each session sends its own reminder.

We're a two-practitioner clinic. Does the price change?

No. £75 a month covers the clinic, however many practitioners have diaries. There's no per-practitioner fee.
