Feature: 0% commission, flat price

Your bookings. Your customers.
Nobody's cut.

Marketplace apps make money when your customers book, so they charge per new client, per staff member, per payment. Booksmith isn't a marketplace: it's your own private booking system on your own address for one flat monthly price, however many staff, however many bookings, however busy you get.

If it's free to start,
ask who pays when it works.

Commission-based booking apps are cheap when you're quiet and expensive when you're busy: the better your business runs, the more of it they keep. And because the app owns the customer relationship, your clients see your competitors every time they open it. Flat pricing inverts all of that; success costs the same as a slow month.

How it works in Booksmith

One price, everything included, no arithmetic.

  1. PRICE

£75 a month covers the lot

Unlimited bookings, unlimited services, unlimited staff diaries, reminders, waitlists, deposits, review requests, hosting, updates and a UK human on the end of a message.

  2. PAYMENTS

    Deposits go straight to you

Card deposits run through your own Stripe account at Stripe's standard fees. Booksmith never touches the money and adds nothing on top.

  3. DATA

Your customer list lives with you

In your own isolated database on your own address. Export it any time. Leave, and it's exported to you and then deleted; it is never pooled or marketed to.

Who leans on this most

Questions we get

Asked about pricing, answered straight.

Is there really nothing per booking?

Nothing. Not per booking, not per new client, not per staff member, not per SMS from us (SMS runs at cost through your own Twilio if you want it). £75 a month is the whole bill.

What about card fees on deposits?

Those are Stripe's standard fees, charged by Stripe to your Stripe account, exactly as they would be for any card payment you take. Booksmith adds no margin.

Isn't £75 more than a free app?

On the subscription line, yes. Add commission on new clients, per-staff fees and payment surcharges and a busy salon or barbershop often pays more to the “free” app. Our comparison pages lay the published numbers side by side, dated, so you can do your own maths.

Is there a contract?

No. Monthly, cancel any time. We'd rather keep you because the diary fills than because a contract says so.
