Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Booksmith is operated by Pixel Heaven ("we", "us"). This policy covers this website, getbooksmith.co.uk. Each business that runs Booksmith for its own bookings is the data controller for its customers' booking data, which is held in that business's own private database and covered by that business's own privacy policy.
What we collect on this site
If you request a demo, we collect the details you give us (name, business name, email, phone) solely to set up your demo and reply to you. The form is processed by FormSubmit, which relays your message to our inbox. We do not use this information for marketing lists, and we never sell or share it.
If you create a client account, we store your name, business name, email address, phone number and a securely hashed password, used only to run your account and your booking system. Subscription payments are handled by Stripe; your card or bank details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Cookies
The public pages of this website set no cookies and run no advertising or analytics trackers. The client account area sets one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in; it is not used for tracking and disappears when your session ends. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address as part of serving the files.
Hosting
This site is hosted in the EU. Standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, time) are kept briefly for security and then rotated away.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email us and it will be done promptly. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
